Francesca Lee is a California native, but found her love for dance at
the Haller Classical Ballet School in Covington, Louisiana. She is currently
pursuing her MFA in Dance at the University of California, Irvine, where she
is a teaching assistant and a member of the performance ensemble DTM2.
Francesca graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis
Obispo earning a Bachelor’s in Communication Studies and a Minor in Dance. At
Cal Poly, she performed, choreographed, and assisted in student directing the
Orchesis Dance Company. She was also a member of Central California’s modern
dance company, Variable Velocity, under the direction of Diana Stanton and
Jude Clark Warnisher. After leaving the Central Coast for Southern
California, Francesca became a member of Fuse Modern Dance Company and danced
with Bare Dance Company. She is Pilates certified with Dance Specialization
from Body Arts and Science International under the direction of Karen
Clippinger. She has also been a Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Pilates
teacher at various studios in Orange County, including Jimmie Defore for the past
five years. Francesca recently travelled to Italy where she performed,
choreographed, and served as Rehearsal Assistant to Dr. Lisa Naugle for the
DTM2 ensemble.
