Class Description

Get ready to sing and play with your babies and toddlers in this high-energy music class designed specifically for children 1 and 2 years of age. This new curriculum will have a large focus on movement, helping to build the muscles your baby needs to walk – and vocal development helping nurture your child’s speaking and singing voice. With the combination of both parent and child activities, as well as child-focused activities, you’ll be able to recognize and observe how your baby (or toddler) learns.

Enrollment Includes

•  Developmentally appropriate curriculum for parents and newborns, ages 1 -2 years

•  Class of no more than 12 children

•  Year-round classes with a different theme each month

•  Weekly 45-minute class, parent or guardian attends entire class with child

•  Digitial Home Materials—a collection of music, and digital games and activities for each theme, each month that allows your child to delve into the music and activities in which he/she is most interested as often as you allow

What a Parent and Child Will Experience in Class

Instrument Play

Age-appropriate experiences with child-safe instruments enhance a sense of rhythm and steady beat, develop a keen awareness of the distinguishing qualities of sound, and encourage spontaneity and creativity.

Dance

A classroom full of baby and adult pairs dancing together helps a little body develop the muscle strength needed to crawl and walk and helps a little heart to fall in love with the sheer joy of responding to music.

Exploration Time

Your child’s natural curiosity will be stimulated in our infant music classes, in  an inviting environment of discovering specially designed instruments, textures, sounds, movements, interesting objects, and baby-safe props.

Musical Concepts

Even the littlest musicians and their parents benefit from early exposure to basic musical fundamentals like loud and quiet, musical form, tempo, timbre, steady beat, and more!

April Unit

Parks, playgrounds, and yards of all shapes and sizes were made for play, play, play! Our bodies get a gross-motor "goose" when we go on a pretend adventure in our Big Back Yard.

May Unit

Being a toddler is complicated.  There's so much I still need help with, but so many new things within my grasp!  I like to try them out, but you're always telling me to be careful.  So let's try some new things together, and when we're done, I'll probably want to remind you: I Can Do That!
